The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Timetable for 2019 May/June Senior School Certficate Examination (SSCE) has been made available. According to the Timetable, the examination will begin on April 8th, 2019 and end May 31st, 2019. As one of the candidates that participated in the recently conducted Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, I am using this opportunity to express my grief caused solely by the delay in the release of 2019 UTME Results. The delay in the release of the said results has tghrown me into indecisiveness due to the fact that the result will determine so many things in my life... Jamb, don't you have adequate staff? Whether yes or no, how many days should we wait for? Currently, I don't know whether to make payment for the new charges we're to pay in this semester or to start preparing for the post utme. Jamb, you've deposited so many candidates in a locus of equivocality. Today is Friday and we're earnestly expecting the results. Thank you. Concerned Candidate

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has launched an investigation into the credentials of applicants dating back to 2009. This means that every single candidate who took UTME within the last 10 years will be scrutinized. Persons who cheated the system successfully, and went on to secure admission and may have even graduated will face prosecution and their certificates will be withdrawn.  This was disclosed by JAMB's Head of Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin, during an interview with Punch on Monday. He said the probe had begun and it would be completed in a short time as JAMB had acquired software to identify fake biometric data.  Benjamin said, “ If you graduated from university and you did not take UTME, it means the foundation is faulty and the building cannot stand. Forty-five students have been withdrawn from the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, the Niger State capital, for poor performance and over stay. According to the newsletter published by the Information and Publication Unit of the university, the withdrawal is with immediate effect. The Department of Estate Management and Valuation had the highest number of withdrawals with 16 students, while;  Department of Crop Production  -  12. Students of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State Wednesday protested over what they described as “obnoxious” policy of the school management. Reports say that students were protesting the ‘No School Fee, No Test’ order by the management. As a result, the management of the University has directed the students to vacate the campus and proceed on a Mid Semester break, a move which it considered necessary to avoid any breakdown of law and order within the campus and school community. The statement by the school Register, Dr Sunday Ayeerun said; “The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has approved a Mid-Semester break for all students of the University.All students of the university are, therefore, advised to proceed on the Mid-Semester break with immediate effect." “Students are to resume to campus on Monday, May 20."
